Bulgaria - Visit by Harlem Désir (Sofia, June 11 to 12, 2015)

Harlem Désir, Minister of State for European Affairs, was in Sofia in order to meet with Meglena Kuneva, Deputy Prime Minister for European Policies Coordination and Institutional Affairs, and with Tomislav Donchev, Deputy Prime Minister for European Funds and Economic Policies.

Mr. Désir discussed key European issues with his interlocutors, notably including the response to the migration issues and the fight against terrorism, as well as the various aspects of our bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Désir also met with the French business community and visited the premises of the joint venture established by Oberthur and the Bulgarian National Bank’s Printing Works, an example of a successful economic collaboration between France and Bulgaria.

He inaugurated, alongside Mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova, an exhibition of engravings by André Derain, the result of active cooperation between French and Bulgarian museums, as currently evidenced by the “Saga of the Thracian Kings” exhibition at the Louvre.
