25 years ago, on July 11, 1995, more than 8,000 adults and children were massacred in Srebrenica. This genocide marked the darkest hours of the war in Bosnia. To this day, it remains engraved in our memories as the worst massacre in Europe since the end of World War II.

France remembers and will always remember the suffering endured in Bosnia-Herzegovina 25 years ago. It expresses its deepest sympathy to the survivors of this genocide and to the victims’ families, as we mark the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.
