M. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is hosting a meeting today with Mr Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Minister-President of the Brussels-Wallonia Federation.
During the meeting, which focuses on Francophonie, M. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and Mr Pierre-Yves Jeholet will discuss our shared priorities, namely promoting multilingualism and the French language’s place within international organizations. M. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and M. Pierre-Yves Jeholet will discuss the reforms initiated within the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie by its Secretary-General, Mme Louise Mushikiwabo. The Minister of State and the Minister-President of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation will discuss the major meetings ahead, including the 50th anniversary summit, to be held in Tunis on 12 and 13 December 2020, and the Francophonie Games, to be held in Kinshasa in the summer of 2021.
M. Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne and M. Pierre-Yves Jeholet will discuss the priorities of the close cooperation between France and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation as regards education, sport, young people and the promotion of the French language.
