Q: Can we know which of the belligerents broke the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh?

A: We welcomed the humanitarian ceasefire that came into force on 10 October 2020. Today it is essential and urgent that it be strictly complied with by the parties before progress can be made towards a permanent end to hostilities. We condemn continued violence wherever it comes from, and call on the parties to put an end to it.

As Co-Chair of the Minsk Group, France is continuing its active efforts to enable discussions without preconditions to resume, with a view to a political settlement to the conflict.
