France deplores the fact that traffic on the access corridor linking Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh has been hindered for more than 24 hours, leading to serious humanitarian consequences for the local population. It calls for access and supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh to be unconditionally restored, with due regard for the rights of the population living there. It points out that, in accordance with the trilateral statement of 9 November 2020, the Republic of Azerbaijan pledged to guarantee the safety of people, vehicles and goods travelling along the Lachin corridor, in both directions.
