Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Minister of State for Tourism, French Nationals Abroad and Francophonie, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, will hold virtual discussions with members of the French communities in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay on March 4.

He will speak with teams from our embassies and consulates in these four countries, elected officials representing the French citizens in this district, and representatives of the business community. Some 30,000 French citizens reside in these countries, according to the registry of French nationals living outside of France.

Discussions will focus on the consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic for our communities in the areas of health, the economic situation, travel and French schools. The minster will underscore France’s commitment to support our compatriots in South America through public consular services, social assistance and education.

Mr. Lemoyne will respond live to questions from French citizens living in these countries during a webinar organized by the Le Petit Journal news show at 10 p.m. Paris time: https://lepetitjournal.com/expat-politique/posez-vos-questions-jean-baptiste-lemoyne-299622
