Q: The Algerian press is reporting that France has provided €400,000 in aid to Sahrawi refugees in the camps in Tindouf in Algeria through the World Food Program.
Can you confirm this aid? If so, has the aid been distributed and in what form?
A: France supports the WFP’s activities in 24 countries, within the framework of its voluntary contributions to the agency, notably in support of the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS), as well as through its programmed food assistance. France contributes, within this framework, to the WFP’s humanitarian activities in Tindouf in support of school feeding programs.
