Q : Six EU member states are asking the European Commission not to suspend expulsions of Afghan asylum seekers whose claims were denied, at a time when the Taliban is swiftly gaining ground in Afghanistan. What is France’s position on this issue?

A : We are very closely monitoring the troubling developments in the situation in Afghanistan. We are in close touch with our partners concerning steps that the EU and its member states could take.
