Earthquake in Afghanistan (9 October 2023)

France offers its condolences to the families and close friends of the very many victims of the earthquake which struck Herat Province in western Afghanistan. It reaffirms its wholehearted solidarity to the Afghan people in this new ordeal.

France is supporting many humanitarian voluntary organizations present on Afghan soil, and the United Nations agencies.
