Representatives of international and European organizations based in France received by Jean-Marc Ayrault (Paris, February 9, 2017)

Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, received for the first time at the Quai d’Orsay on February 9 the representatives of the numerous international organizations headquartered or based in France.

These organizations, which employ more than 15,000 people in France, cover a wide range of areas: human rights, education and culture, basic research, economic matters, and animal health. They are based throughout France and Overseas France (New Caledonia, Reunion).

This meeting, which is part of an interministerial initiative led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, reflects France’s commitment to an effective multilateral system and is aimed at boosting our country’s appeal.
