The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs reinforces its presence on social networks (November 8, 2013)

In addition to our presence on Twitter, we’ve just launched our official pages in English on Facebook and on Google+

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its English Twitter accounts

France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently launched a new Twitter account in English. The account, @francediplo_EN, seeks to allow greater access to English-speaking internet users and to maximize the Ministry’s communications impact on social media platforms worldwide.

The creation of the new account follows a precedent set by several of the Foreign Ministry’s Twitter accounts managed through institutions such as embassies and consulates.

The French Embassy in the U.S. also maintains a Twitter account, from which followers can receive news, official statements and other diplomatic messages in English. Follow @franceintheus for the French Foreign Ministry’s latest information geared to American audiences.
