Emergency Situation Management
Introduction
This Unit runs the Crisis Cell and stands ready to depart on support and supervisory mission at any time.
Its staff participate in the recruitment, training and management of Ministry volunteers for the Public response cell and field missions to support our diplomatic posts. They coordinate the drafting of procedures and the development of necessary tools for running the Crisis Cell. The Emergency Situation Management Unit also gives the necessary support to embassies and consulates in their prior preparation of crisis management for crises that they may face.
It organises “inter-ministerial audit missions on crisis management procedures abroad,” which call on experts from different administrations and aim to help embassies to perfect the planned measures. Finally, in connection with embassies, it carries out crisis management exercises with scenarios based on the distinctive characteristics of the local situation.
