Taking up your post
Formalities

For all nominations for employment in a diplomatic mission or consular post, the mission should send to Protocol Department a Notification de nomination et de prise de fonctions (NNPF) or Notification of Nomination and Commencement.
Common formalities
* duly completed personal details form * photocopy of passport of appointee and of his/her family members * photocopy of long-stay visa * 4 recent passport-size photos (45mm x 35mm)
To which should be added:
* for the spouse: copy of marriage certificate or of any alternative official document * for children: official document as proof of filial relation (birth certificate, family record book, etc.)
Specific formalities
* 1 curriculum vitae * predecessor’s notification of termination of appointment (in 3 copies) * predecessor’s residence permit to be returned
Heads of Consular Posts
* 1 curriculum vitae * predecessor’s notification of termination of appointment (in 5 copies)
Consular Officers
* predecessor’s notification of termination of appointment (in 5 copies) * 4 regulation passport-size photos of themselves and of their families
Administrative and technical personnel, consular employees, domestic staff
* 4 regulation passport-size photos of themselves and of their families
Notifications of Nomination and Commencement will be valid only provided a full dossier conforming to all requirements is submitted. Any dossier that is incomplete or does not conform to requirements will be returned to the Embassy.
