Visit by M. François Hollande, President of the Republic, to the United Kingdom (July 10, 2012) |
Communiqué issued by the Presidency of the Republic President Hollande will visit the United Kingdom on 10 July. He will have a meeting at Windsor Castle with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and a meeting and working lunch with Prime Minister David Cameron followed by a joint press conference. The Head of State will also meet the French community at the Ambassador’s residence. During the visit, President Hollande will express his determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the UK, particularly on defence and energy. He will discuss the implementation of the European Council’s decisions in support of growth and financial stability. Current international issues will also be discussed, particularly the crisis in Syria, the situation in the Sahel and the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme. Programme (London time)
