On Monday, the court of cassation in Bahrain annulled the death sentences of two activists accused of having killed police officers. Do you have any response?

We have taken careful note of the decision by the court of cassation to refer the case of the two prisoners sentenced to death to the court of appeal and we welcome this.

We hope that this positive decision will become part of a process to restore trust with a view toward promoting national reconciliation and easing tensions on a lasting basis, while respecting human rights and democratic principles.
