High-level Conference on development: "G20 Development: solutions for a new world" (October 21, 2011)

The French Presidency of the G20 is organizing a high-level Conference in Paris on the 21st of October in order to address the challenges of development and discuss them with a large audience. The event will welcome French and international political personalities.

High-level contributors and stakeholders from various backgrounds will hold a public debate on G20 Development flagship proposals.

Held two weeks prior to the G20 Summit in Cannes, this Conference, aimed at the general public, will bring together academics, NGO representatives, policy-makers, journalists, companies and representatives from international organizations.

It will be structured around 4 thematic workshops in the morning and early afternoon, each of them focusing on a specific priority of the G20 Development: food security, infrastructure investment, innovative financing for development and the social aspect of globalization. These workshops will be followed by a presentation in a plenary session.

This meeting will take place at the Ministerial Convention Centre on the French Foreign Ministry’s Convention site (27 rue de la Convention, Paris, 15th district).
