Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, presented, together with Christine Lazerges, Chair of the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights, the 2016 Human Rights Prize of the French Republic at the Quai d’Orsay on December 15.
This prize is awarded by the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights and recognizes field projects focusing on the promotion and protection of human rights.

This year there are five winners:

- Tomorrow’s Foundation (India)
- Dupont Organization for Social Development (Organisation Dupont pour le développement social) (Burkina Faso)
