Signing by Laurent Fabius of a partnership agreement between the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and seven instituts d’études politiques (January 30, 2014)
Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed on January 30 a partnership agreement with the director of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) and the directors of seven instituts d’études politiques. This agreement provides for the opening of 4 external examination centers in French lycées belonging to the AEFE in Casablanca, Bangkok, Bogota, and Shanghai. There are plans to open several more examination centers abroad in 2015.
The establishment of these external centers will allow final year students in French lycées abroad to take the entrance examinations for the instituts d’études politiques without having to come to France.
The examinations will be identical to those in metropolitan France and the French overseas territories; the examination papers will be sent to France using a secure system; they will be subject to the same correction process as the competitive examination for admission into the instituts d’études politiques in France.
This partnership between the Agency for French Education Abroad and the instituts d’études politiques of Aix-en-Provence, Greater Paris/ West, Lille, Lyon, Rennes, Strasbourg and Toulouse, is in keeping with the mission entrusted to the AEFE by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote French higher education.
