Priority Export “Family”: Entertainment and culture

France’s cultural and creative industries account for 2% of the French economy and nearly 600,000 jobs. It is a key sector, particularly when it comes to exports with €32.1 billion in revenues from France’s cultural and creative industries in 2015.

At the crossroads between economic diplomacy and soft power, the cultural and creative industries are one of France’s fields of excellence that we need to promote, both when it comes to fostering the distribution of French creation and supporting our cultural businesses.

The creation of a unifying sector dedicated to the cultural and creative industries will help encourage synergies between the different sector players and bring them together with a common identity, so as to promote the visibility of France’s cultural and creative industries internationally. The objective of unifying is to improve the performance of cultural and creative industries in emerging and determining markets.
