Jean-Marc Ayrault, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, will bring together civil society partners working in the areas of development and international solidarity on March 17 to announce the publication of the first policy paper on the partnership between the ministry and civil society.
Jean-Marie Le Guen, Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, will take part in this meeting.
This document, which was developed at the request of the Interministerial Committee for International Cooperation and Development and in collaboration with the organizations concerned gathered together within the National Council for Development and International Solidarity, defines the scope, ambitions and resources of this partnership and ways to strengthen it.
Civil society organizations play a key role in our development and international solidarity policy. This partnership has already led to a significant increase in official development assistance provided through civil society organizations since 2012.
