Jean-Marie Le Guen, Minister of State for Development and Francophonie, is taking part in the annual meetings of the World Bank and the IMF in Washington April 20-22.
He will take part in the meeting of the Development Committee focusing on inequality on April 21.
Jean-Marie Le Guen, together with Michel Sapin, will meet with Jim Kim, President of the World Bank, Kristalina Georgieva, Chief Executive Officer, and several vice presidents responsible for sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, the Middle East and Human Development. He will underscore the need for the World Bank to give priority to the poorest and most fragile countries as well as those in conflict.
Jean-Marie Le Guen will also take part in two high-level meetings on the humanitarian crises and the threat of famine, and the prevention of conflicts through development.
