Communiqué issued by the Presidency of the Republic

France was officially selected in Warsaw to host the 21st Conference of the Parties on Climate Change in 2015.

The President, who announced France’s willingness to host this great event during the Environmental Conference of September 2012, is delighted that the bid has succeeded, despite the difficult context of the climate negotiations.

France is already totally galvanized to ensure that a binding, fair, global climate agreement is reached in Paris in 2015, in order to limit global warming to 2ºC.

It will act in close consultation with the European Union, with Poland and Peru – the host countries in 2013 and 2014 respectively – and with all civil society players, while listening to the international community in all its diversity.

The international climate conference will be held at the Le Bourget site from 30 November to 11 December 2015.
