Cooperation in the space sector
At €30 per year per inhabitant, France has the second-largest annual budget per inhabitant devoted to the civil space sector. It stands behind the United States (€46) but ahead of Germany (€16) and the United Kingdom (€6).
France has a long history as a leading power in space and space research. For over four decades, France has developed its international cooperation not only within the European Union but also through bilateral partnerships and multilateral negotiations.
