The “greeter” phenomenon has been growing worldwide for 15 years now. Begun by Lynn Brooks in 1992 in New York, these “hosts” who offer to show visiting tourists round their city, neighbourhood or region free of charge, have had a Parisian equivalent since 2007: the "Parisien d’un jour" association.
