Cultures Sud takes over
The prestigious review Notre librairie, which specialised in the literature of the South (Africa, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean) for almost forty years, has changed its name and is now called Cultures Sud. Published by the cultural organisation CulturesFrance, it is aimed at students and researchers, but also at a general readership wanting to find out more about current developments in this sphere. The first issue of this new magazine was published in the first quarter of 2007 and looks at the major voices in black poetry, thus remaining true to the African focus of Notre librairie. Previous issues of Cultures Sud/Notre librairie can be viewed on their website or at the cultural departments of French embassies.
