The French of Montreal

Nearly 100,000 French people live in Quebec, mainly in Montreal. They include journalist Éric Clément and photographer Bertrand Lemeunier, who pay tribute to them in a very beautiful book, Français de Montréal. Working in every sector (food, IT, the arts, aeronautics, biotechnology, communications, etc.), each contributes in his or her own particular way to the success of the great Quebec metropolis. "A wave of 3000 French people arrives in Quebec every year. Approximately 40 % of them are still there five years later," Éric Clément points out.

Both a resonant declaration of love for Montreal and a compendium of personal accounts by French people who have made a success of things there, this highly emotional book documents the French presence in Quebec.
