(Remarks) Various marks may be stamped here: type of visa, category of holder, reason for journey, etc. Examples of most frequent marks: “TRANSIT AEROPORTUAIRE” (airport transit): this visa does not allow you to leave the “international” or “duty free” zone of the airport “CIRCULATION”: this visa allows you to stay as often as you wish in the Schengen Area during its period of validity of use, on condition your stays do not total more than 90 days in each period of 6 months. “Départements français d’Amérique”, “Guadeloupe”, “Guyane”, “Martinique”, “Mayotte”, “Nouvelle Calédonie”, “Polynésie française”, “Réunion”, “Saint-Pierre et Miquelon”, “TAAF” or “Wallis et Futuna”: this visa is valid for the Schengen Area plus the territory specified. “CARTE DE SÉJOUR A SOLLICITER DES L’ARRIVEE” (residence permit to be applied for on arrival): within two months of your arrival you must report to the prefectural authority of your place of residence to apply for a residence permit. “APT A SOLLICITER DES L’ARRIVEE” (TWP to be applied for on arrival): you must apply for a temporary work permit on arrival in France, before starting any paid employment. |
