The Foreign and Interior Ministers have instructed the diplomatic and consular networks to issue more short-stay “circulation” visas whenever possible, with longer validity periods. These visas make it possible to repeatedly enter and leave the Schengen area without having to apply for a new visa each time. Valid for six months to five years, they enable their holders to remain in France and in the Schengen area for 90 days during a six-month period.
