Attack on a French vessel in Cameroonian waters (November 3, 2008)
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs continues to be totally mobilized to obtain that release of the hostages kidnapped on Friday on the Bakassi Peninsula.
At Bernard Kouchner’s request, the Ministry’s crisis center is following this matter round the clock.
Yesterday’s interministerial meeting at the crisis center was chaired by the secretary of state for foreign affairs and human rights who is in regular contact with Cameroon’s minister for external relations. Rama Yade has spoken about the situation with him twice by telephone, yesterday and this morning.
