Script Fund

The Fonds Sud cinéma Commission may in exceptional cases award script funding. Such funds are given during a plenary Commission.

The script must be re-written with the help of a professional co-scriptwriter chosen by the filmmaker who must however, be approved by the CNC and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (the scriptwriter in question has no rights on the script).

The script fund awarded within the framework of the Fonds Sud cinéma for which funding varies between 7,000 euros and 12,000 euros maximum is shared between the filmmaker and the co-scriptwriter.

Once the project is re-written it follows the usual procedure for the presentation of applications to the following Fonds Sud cinéma Commission (the shooting of the film must not have been started before the Commission is held).
