The overseas education network is a concrete demonstration of France’s overseas education policy at work. The network, which operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE), is made up of 77 establishments directly managed by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), 166 establishments under contract, 5 establishments linked by a partnership agreement and 213 accredited establishments. 107 of the establishments in the network are members of the Mission Laïque Française (MLF) and 4 are members of the Alliance Israélite Universelle (AIU).
Through its overseas cooperation network, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs is actively involved in educational cooperation in 155 countries around the world.
