France is providing aid for Latin American populations suffering from the effects of severe flooding for the past week, causing tens of deaths and hundreds of thousands of disaster victims. Responding to the appeal of the Salvadoran government, France has made funds available to its embassy for the purchase of essential items (personal hygiene kits, mattresses and blankets), first aid equipment and building equipment for semi-temporary housing.
