Greece
Jean Leonetti, Minister responsible for European Affairs, welcomes the French parliament’s adoption of the support plan for Greece. He is pleased with the vote by the French parliament, which on Thursday, 8 September 2011 adopted the European aid plan for Greece and the measures to make the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) stronger and more flexible.

Relations between France and Greece are traditionally close. First, the political aspects are the driving force behind the friendship and cooperation between France and Greece, but the solidarity between our two peoples is also built on an ideological and cultural framework. The persistence of this friendship is in line with the experience of the past, as well as the realities of the present. Today, the objective is to maintain these excellent ties, while establishing new partnerships.
