Recent major visits by leading French figures to Ghana:
February 2008: The Secretary of State for Sport, Mr. Bernard Laporte, travelled to Ghana to attend the final match of the Africa Cup of Nations.
September 2008: Mr. Alain Joyandet, Secretary of State for Cooperation and the French-speaking world, traveled to the 3rd High Level Forum on the Effectiveness of Aid
February 2009: Trip by Mrs. Anne-Marie Idrac, Secretary of State responsible for Foreign Trade.

Recent major visits by leading Ghanaian figures to France:
June 2007: President John Kufuor and Foreign Affairs Minister Nana Akufo-Addo travelled to France to meet with their counterparts Nicolas Sarkozy and Bernard Kouchner.
March 2008: Mr. Samuel Owusu-Agyei, Minister for Public Sector Reform, made a working visit to France.
December 2009: Mrs. Annah Tetteh, Minister for Trade and Industry traveled to Paris
May 2010: Vice President Mr. John Mahama and the Minister for Commerce and Industry Mrs. Annah Tetteh participated in the Africa-France summit in Nice
