Cultural, scientific and technical cooperation/B_descRubAff1>
Cultural and scientific exchanges are growing through direct links between universities, museums, institutes, research centres and foundations. The objectives of our cooperation aim to promote the French language and contemporary creation, to consolidate our cultural network and to encourage dialogue between research institutions and educational systems.
The bilateral administrative arrangement in the area of education cooperation, signed in 2003 and that must be extended, provides an official, dynamic framework in this sector (training for teachers, academic partnerships, exchanges on topics of common interest). In 2006, there were 12,455 French students in the United Kingdom, while only 2,400 British students were studying in France.
