France welcomes the adoption on November 15, by a large majority, by the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly of a resolution on human rights in Syria.
France co-sponsored this text and actively contributed to its adoption.
Through this resolution, the international community expresses its concern at the deteriorating situation in Syria, notably in Aleppo. While the violence on the ground is escalating, the Syrian regime and its allies on the one hand, and Daesh on the other hand, are continuing to commit atrocities.
France reaffirms its determination to combat impunity in Syria, as it did so by submitting the photos in the Caesar case to the courts.
