Syria - Non-lethal military assistance (Q&A - Excerpt from the daily press briefing - December 11, 2013)

Q : Has France suspended its non-lethal assistance to the Syrian opposition in northern Syria following the seizure by Islamic Front combatants of bases belonging to the Free Syrian Army, or is it preparing to do so?

A : France delivers non-lethal military assistance to the Syrian National Coalition to protect the civilian populations.

This assistance is provided in coordination with our EU partners and in accordance with the rules laid down in the successive decisions taken by the Foreign Affairs Council.
