Yamina Benguigui, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, responded favorably to a request for emergency assistance from Senegal’s Minister for National Education, Mr. Ibrahima Sall, aimed at rehabilitating schools affected by the very severe flooding that has hit Senegal in recent weeks.

A contribution of €150,000 will be made in the next few days which will help contribute to the rehabilitation of classrooms, as the start of the school year approaches.

Yamina Benguigui conducted a visit to Senegal from September 13 to 15, during which discussions focused on la Francophonie, culture and the international situation, notably during meetings with Mr. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal, and Mr. Youssou N’dour, Minister for Culture.
