France condemns the execution on November 17 in Saudi Arabia of Bangladeshi citizen Medhaheb Chenader Kama Chenader, bringing the number of executions in Saudi Arabia in 2012 to 65.

As the minister of foreign affairs reaffirmed at the launch of the campaign for the universal abolition of the death penalty, France reaffirms its firm and constant opposition to the death penalty everywhere and under all circumstances. It urges Saudi Arabia to put an end to the executions and to establish a moratorium.
