Matthias Fekl, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, will visit Lisbon on March 17 and 18 for the 4th French-Portuguese Economic Conference organized by the Embassy of France, the foreign trade advisers and the Portuguese-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
France is Portugal’s third largest supplier and second largest customer; more than 600 French subsidiaries operate in this country in all sectors of the economy.
Matthias Fekl will deliver a speech alongside Manuel Caldeira Cabral, Portugal’s Economy Minister, during the closing session of this conference and will talk about our bilateral economic relations and issues at stake in the trade negotiations currently underway.
He will meet with Ana Mendes Godinho, Secretary of State for Tourism, during the culinary arts competition awards ceremony at the Lisbon Tourism and Hospitality Management School within the framework of the “Goût de France” operation. He will also meet with Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins, Secretary of State for Infrastructure
In addition, the minister of state will meet with the French community established in Portugal.
