Pakistan: murder of Khalil Dale, ICRC humanitarian worker (April 30, 2012)
France utterly condemns the barbaric murder of Khalil Dale, a British humanitarian worker from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in the city of Quetta, Pakistan.
Mr. Dale, who was kidnapped in January, had been in charge of an ICRC humanitarian aid program in Quetta for nearly a year. He cared for all victims of fighting in Pakistan and Afghanistan, without discrimination.
France pays tribute to the memory and work of Khalil Dale, whose sense of commitment and courage took him to such difficult conflict regions as Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq.
In these painful circumstances, France shares the grief of Mr. Dale’s family and close friends and extends its most sincere condolences to them.
France calls on the Pakistani authorities to shed full light on this despicable act and relentlessly pursue its perpetrators in order to bring them to justice.
