  • Mexico - Meeting between Matthias Fekl and Idefonso Guajardo, Mexico’s Economy Minister (23.03.15)

    They reviewed the strengthening of economic relations between our two countries, in preparation for President Peña Nieto’s upcoming official visit to Paris on July 14. This meeting provided an opportunity to confirm the quality and vitality of our economic ties. Our trade has been steadily increasing over the past several years (€4.2 billion in 2014), and we have a positive balance of trade. Numerous projects have been launched in strategic sectors such as aerospace and transport.

  • Photographic Cross-Vision Festival in Mexico (04.14-04.15)

    The “Mano a Mano, France-Mexico Photographic Cross-Vision” festival, which will be held in Mexico City and 5 other Mexican cities until April 2015, will feature 19 exhibitions and almost 500 photographic works from around 20 well-known French and Mexican artists.

  • Mexico – Arrest of Joaquín Guzmán (24.02.14)

    We commend the security force operation, which was carried out in an exemplary manner. France reaffirms its full support for the Mexican authorities in their resolute fight against organized crime.

  • Visit to Mexico by Mr. Laurent Fabius (14-15.07.13)

    During his visit, the minister met with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto as well as with Mr. José Antonio Meade Kuribreña, Minister of Foreign Relations, to whom he notably signaled France’s determination to strengthen its political dialogue and cooperation in all areas with Mexico. Mr. Fabius recalled that President Hollande had agreed to visit Mexico next year.

  • Explosion in Mexico (31.01.13)

    We were extremely saddened to learn of the heavy toll resulting from the explosion that occurred on January 31 in Mexico, in a building belonging to the state-owned company, Pemex.
