Mauritius – Meeting between Matthias Fekl and Nandcoomar Bodha, minister of public infrastructure and land transport (Paris, June 29, 2016)

Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism, and French Nationals Abroad Matthias Fekl was welcoming Nandcoomar Bodha, Mauritius’s minister of public infrastructure and land transport, to the Quai d’Orsay.

They reviewed our bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of transportation and regional development.

France is Mauritius’s third-largest trading partner and leading investor. One hundred seventy French companies, including many SMEs from Reunion Island, are located there. France is also one of the leading donors assisting with the country’s development – particularly in the areas of infrastructure, the environment, water, and energy. Since 2006, the French Development Agency has allocated more than 500 million euros to sustainable development in Mauritius.
