• Visit by Mr. Laurent Fabius to Mauritania (15-16.04.13)

  Mr. Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited Nouakchott from April 15 to 16, 2013. He devoted April 16 to the 10th meeting of the foreign ministers of the Western Mediterranean Dialogue (5+5).

• Mauritania – Release of Ould Daddeh (28.12.12)

  France was relieved to learn of yesterday’s release of Mauritania’s former human rights commissioner, Mohamed Lemine Ould Daddeh.

• Mauritania – Ratification of two texts relating to the protection of human rights (04.10.12)

  On October 3, Mauritania ratified the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
