4th session of the Franco-Israeli strategic dialogue (September 6, 2012)
The 4th session of the Franco-Israeli strategic dialogue is taking place today in Paris, under the co-chairmanship of Mr. Pierre Sellal, Secretary General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Rafael Barak, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
This strategic dialogue takes place every year and allows France and Israel to examine all topics of common interest. It bears witness to the close and trusting relationship between our two countries.
This year’s consultations will provide an opportunity to review bilateral issues and the relationship between the EU and Israel. They will also focus on the status and prospects of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, political developments in the Arab world, the Syrian crisis and its impact on the neighboring countries, as well as other major regional issues, including the Iranian nuclear program.
The next session will take place in Israel in 2013.
