Iraq – Execution of 10 prisoners condemned to death (November 13, 2012)
France condemns the executions that took place on November 11 in Iraq, bringing the total number of executions to 129 since the beginning of the year.
It already had an opportunity to express its concern at the increasing use of the death penalty in Iraq.
As Mr. Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs, solemnly affirmed at the launch of the campaign for the universal abolition of the death penalty, France expresses its constant opposition to the death penalty everywhere and under all circumstances.
