Ebola – France’s support for the authorities of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone (30.07.14)
France has been mobilized since the beginning of the crisis, in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the authorities of the concerned countries. It is providing technical support and expertise to contain the epidemic. Our embassies, particularly in Guinea (which also has jurisdiction for Sierra Leone) and Liberia, are in close contact with the health monitoring and care facilities established in each of those countries.
Guinea – Announcement of the final results of the parliamentary elections in Guinea (15.11.13)
France welcomes the announcement on November 15 by the Supreme Court of the final results of the parliamentary elections on September 28. We congratulate the Guinean people, authorities and political actors on completing this democratic transition in a spirit of responsibility.
Guinea – Agreement on the date of the parliamentary elections (24.09.13)
France commends the role of the facilitator, Said Djinnit, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for West Africa, as well as the spirit of consensus that has prevailed. We call on all political actors to continue to work to ensure that the parliamentary elections will allow Guinea to complete its democratic transition process.

France deplores the ethnic violence that took place last week in Guinea, in N’Zérékoré and its region, which killed around 100 people and injured 200 others, according to the latest reports.
Guinea – Agreement between the government and opposition on the general election (04.07.13)
This is a good agreement which was long awaited. The organization of the general election will allow Guinea to complete the current transition period. France pays tribute to the sense of responsibility of all the Guineans involved. Guinea can now move forward.
