Côte d’Ivoire’s adhesion to International Criminal Court (February 18, 2013)
France welcomes Côte d’Ivoire’s ratification of the Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court (ICC). This important decision confirms the commitment of the states of the African continent to the fight against impunity. Côte d’Ivoire thus becomes the 122th state party to the ICC statute.
We also reiterate our wish to see all the states adhere to the statute of the ICC, the only permanent international criminal court whose jurisdiction is universal.
