Central African Republic – Attack against the “Doctors Without Borders” medical facility (April 27, 2014)
France strongly condemns the deadly attack carried out on April 27 against the “Doctors Without Borders” medical facility in Nanga Boguila (450 km north of Bangui). According to the latest reports, 22 people may have been killed, including local Central African Republic officials and employees of this NGO.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and to “Doctors Without Borders.” Its employees do incredible work, under difficult conditions and at great risk to their lives, in support of the people of the Central African Republic.
Those responsible for this intolerable attack must be held responsible for their actions.
