  • Algeria – Economic diplomacy – Visit by Laurent Fabius (12.05.15)

    In Algiers, Laurent Fabius will co-chair a follow-up meeting of the Algerian-French Joint Economic Committee (COMEFA), which took place in November 2014. This meeting will be devoted to three key sectors: transport, housing and living environment, and agrifood. Before the next COMEFA session, scheduled to take place in October 2015, we would like to strengthen our partnership in all areas and work on other joint projects in the industry, renewable energy and tourism sectors.

  • Algeria – Meeting between Laurent Fabius and his Algerian counterpart (04.12.14)

    The minister’s meeting with his Algerian counterpart will provide an opportunity to discuss political and security issues in the Sahel-Sahara region. France supports Algeria’s mediation efforts in Mali aimed at achieving a lasting peace agreement between all Malian actors. The two ministers, who share the same concerns about the deteriorating situation in Libya, will discuss ways to support the UN mediation efforts. They will also discuss the fight against climate disruption and preparations for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference.

  • Algeria – Laurent Fabius’s visit (10.11.14)

    Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, will travel to Oran and Algiers on November 10 in order to participate in the inauguration of the Renault plant in Oued Tlelat and co-chair, together with Emmanuel Macron, Minister of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Sector, the second French-Algerian Joint Economic Committee.

  • Algeria - Monks of Tibhirine (24.10.14)

    The French judicial delegation’s visit to Algeria took place under satisfactory conditions. We would like to thank the authorities for the hospitality extended to the delegation and for the resources made available to it.
